Q. What is the difference between SpeedTech Auto Racing School and any other NASCAR driving experience?
A. SpeedTech is the "top shelf" auto racing school.  At SpeedTech, there are no pace cars to follow, and passing is allowed based on good judgement, communication, and common sense.  SpeedTech provides the cleanest NASCAR Nextel Cup stock cars and Busch Series cars available to the public and you can even drive a Craftsman Truck Series super truck.  And with Randy Baker and over 25 years of teaching experience training the future stars of NASCAR, you will know the difference.

Q. How far in advance do I need to register for a group or corporate team building event?
A. This varies based on the track, the time of year and the requested program. You can book as early as a year in advance, but SpeedTech may even have openings to fulfill your date for a group less than a month before the date requested.  Individuals should try to register at least two (2) months before the event, but on occassion we can accept last minute students.

Q. How many people can participate in a group event?
A. This is based on what type of program is selected.  During the course of an eight hour day and depending on the track selected, we can usually accommodate about 1000 solo laps delegated between students.
Q. Who can participate?
A. The racing school is open to anyone 16 years of age and older who possesses a valid driver’s license. Students should be in good physical condition. Individuals with certain disabilities may also participate after contacting the racing school to determine any special needs.

Q. Do you provide daytime and night time racing programs?
A. Yes. We offer day classes and driving at all tracks listed. The night programs currently are available at the tracks in Atlanta, Lowes Charlotte, and Bristol.

Q. Can our company use SpeedTech’s logo for consumer promotions?
A. Yes. Please contact Susan Simmons, our Corporate Relations Manager, toll free at 1-877-807-7333.  After traditional E.S.T. business hours, please call 704-649-4605.

Q. Can we use SpeedTech gift certificates in consumer promotions or giveaways?
A. Yes. Please contact Susan Simmons, our Corporate Relations Manager, toll free at 1-877-807-7333.  After EST business hours, please call 704-649-4605.

Q. Does a track event get canceled in the event of bad weather?
A. Yes and No. An event may be canceled/postponed due to weather conditions, however, SpeedTech will be at the track regardless of the weather conditions. For example, events have continued for the entire day despite a 70 percent chance of rain that never occurred. Weather is sporadic in the southeast region of the United States.  We keep every client’s needs foremost in our minds on such unpredictable days. Because we have clients that join us from many parts of the country and world, we make every effort to make an event happen.  It is not unheard of to allow students to drive their own cars on the speedways in an effort to dry off the tracks.

Q. How can I use your SpeedTech programs as a promotional event for my company?
A. There are a variety of ways that you can use our programs as promotional events for your company, including in sweepstakes, raffles, sales incentives, team building, fundraising and other types of events. Further promotional ideas include co-op dollar programs, company-purchased vouchers used to entertain clients, use of the SpeedTech logo incorporated into the promotion, use of one of SpeedTech's "show cars" and a pit stop competition targeted toward company promotion. Contact us directly to explore promotional possibilities that will best fit your company's promotional needs.

Q. If I need to make changes to my event package, what is the latest deadline for doing so prior to the event date?
A. If the changes add laps to an existing program or take your scheduled program to the next program level, these changes would be made according to availability. Our brochure and program confirmation outlines the cancellation policies in detail.

Q. What are the safety regulations and guidelines that I need to be aware of before participating?
A. You will be required to wear a driving suit and helmet in order to participate in any of the drive programs. If you have your own driving suit and helmet, you may use them. They will be inspected by SpeedTech staff prior to use to ensure that they are appropriate for this type of racing.

Of course, use of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited.

Q. How do I make payment?
A. MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, check, money order, or cash.  Credit card purchases can be made via this website and by calling 1-877-807-7333.  To send a check or money order, please mail to:

SpeedTech Auto Racing Schools, Inc.

Q. How do you determine skill level for the Advanced and Exclusive programs?
A. An individual’s written racing credentials would need to be provided to SpeedTech prior to enrollment in classes in order for an evaluation to be done to determine appropriate skill level. Please fax racing resume to 704-784-9488.

Q. Are there any restrictions that would prevent me from being able to participate?
A. Yes. You must be 16 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license in order to drive. Students also should be in good physical condition. For the “Hot Laps” program, participants must be at least 48 inches in height.

Of course, use of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited.

Q. Who can I bring with me when attending the school?
A. You may bring anyone with you. Currently, SpeedTech does not limit the number of guests a participant may bring.

Q. What do the guests of drivers do while programs are underway?
A. Guests can go almost everywhere drivers go. However, no guests are allowed on Pit Road. Pit Road is the area where the race cars are parked and drivers are loaded. Guests are allowed in the Pits, which is the area behind the Pit Road wall. Guests are permitted behind the pit road wall area if they have signed the appropriate waiver/release form. Guests are more than welcome to bring cameras and video equipment.  Please note that the tracks in Atlanta, Charlotte, Bristol and Richmond require drivers and guests to sign a waiver/release for the track, as well as one for SpeedTech.

Q. What should I wear?
A. The goal is to be comfortable.  During the warmer months of the year, shorts, short-sleeved shirts and tennis shoes are best for becoming the most comfortable. During winter, any type of comfortable clothing will be fine. However, we do discourage wearing polyester clothing or boots of any type or style (i.e. cowboy boots or work boots).

We also discourage loading your pockets with sharp objects like keys, before driving or riding because of the seat belts.

Q. What can I bring with me?
A. Friends, family, coolers, cameras, food, soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages. No glass of any type is permitted.

NOTE: If a student or passenger of a “Hot Lap” is seen drinking alcohol or if there appears to be cause for concern that someone is drinking an alcoholic beverage, SpeedTech’s staff reserves the right to not allow an individual to participate. The participant’s scheduled program may be rescheduled for up to one year from the date of the original program date.

Q. Does SpeedTech offer XtremeX3 in-car footage?
A. Not available for the balance of the 2005 schedule. Look for it again sometime in 2006.
