Location – Just 70 miles from Charlotte...take Highway 74 East to U.S. Highway 1 North. Travel 10 miles north of Rockingham on US 1, and the track will be on the right. The Rock is about 80 miles from Raleigh...take Highway 1 South until you see the track.

History - Since 1965 and up until 2005, the North Carolina Speedway hosted top races two weekends per year. The Rock as it's also known as, is a true driver's track. This is the track that Randy Baker trained such drivers as Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Joe Nemechek, Danny Sullivan, Jeff & Ward Burton, and more. They say if you can get around this "technical" speedway, then you can get around just about any other track with greater ease.
